Paulo Costa willing to move to heavyweight, face Josh Hokit at UFC White House

Paulo
Costa
is ready to move up to heavyweight to fight Josh
Hokit

Josh
Hokit
is currently scheduled to fight Derrick
Lewis
on June 14 at the White House. However, Costa claims he
has informed the UFC that he is ready to fight Hokit at the White
House if Lewis pulls out of the fight.

While Costa has only fought at middleweight and light heavyweight
so far, “Borrachinha” believes he weigh in heavier than Hokit
without having to cut any weight. Considering Lewis was booked for
the White House at President Donald Trump’s behest, Costa suggests
that “The Black Beast” be matched up with someone else.

Costa also wants a chance to earn a bonus, which he thinks he
originally deserved for his last fight. Costa finished a previously
undefeated Azamat
Murzakanov
at UFC 327 earlier this month. Meanwhile, Hokit
earned a unanimous decision win in a nail-biting bloodbath against
Curtis
Blaydes
on the same card. While Costa missed out on a bonus,
Hokit won two – “Fight of the Night” and “Performance of the Night”
– walking home with an extra $200,000. Costa has since expressed
his disappointment with the bonus snub and wants a chance to earn a
bonus against Hokit.

Hokit (9-0) also expressed interest in fighting Costa (16-4), also
calling for the BMF title to be put on the line. “The Incredible
Hok” wrote in response to Costa’s callout:
