Brahimaj, rallying from an early scare to score a second-round
technical knockout at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, to pick
up his 25th win in the promotion.

With 25 Octagon victories under his belt, Magny is now tied with
former lightweight champ and reigning BMF titleholder Charles
Oliveira in second place, behind only Jim Miller
(28). Furthermore, he’s finished his last three wins, which he
highlighted in a post-fight interview.

“Man, it feels great,” Magny said. “This puts me at 3-1 in my last
four fights; all three wins came by finish, so I feel like I am in
a very good position. I feel pretty good about it.”

The 39-year-old has been on the UFC roster since 2013, developing a
reputation as a gatekeeper to the top tier of the welterweight
division. His last four defeats have come against highly
credentialed contenders: former Bellator
champ Yaroslav
Amosov, the two top potential challengers for the title next —
Carlos
Prates and Michael
Morales — and the latest challenger, Ian
Garry.
