Canada’s Mike Malott is set to return to the Octagon following his first Ultimate Fighting Championship loss against promotional veteran Neil Magny at UFC 297 in January.
“Proper” (10-2) will take on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 29 finalist Gilbert Urbina (7-3) in a three-round welterweight clash at a UFC Fight Night event set to go down on July 13 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The news was first reported by Canadian outlet Sportsnet in a post to X (formerly known as Twitter). The clash was confirmed by Malott in an Instagram post.
As mentioned earlier, Malott is coming off an upset Round 3 technical knockout loss at the hands of Magny on home soil in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
