Video: Jon Jones confronts Albuquerque driver following alleged road rage incident

Former
UFC
champion Jon Jones was
involved in a brief confrontation with a fellow motorist following
an alleged road rage incident in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

According to an Instagram post by Bryan Beltran, he was “almost hit
three times” in a truck driven by Jones. Beltran claims he then
“flipped him off” before Jones followed him into a parking lot and
confronted him.

A video shows that brief interaction, as Jones approaches Beltran
with his left hand in his pocket. Beltran wrote that he wasn’t
aware it was Jones until the fighter got out of his vehicle.

“You gotta calm down, bro. You gotta relax yourself, bro,” Jones
says before flipping off Beltran and walking away.

Cooler Heads Prevail?

Beltran’s unedited post in the caption of the video is as
follows:

Driving up Central close to Eubank when i was almost hit 3 times
by the truck even after i revved my car at him the first time it
almost happened he still almost hit me twice after that so I
flipped him off then he proceeded to stop in the middle of the road
back up and come into the same parking lot.

The night before another guy in a truck pulled out infront me so
this was pretty annoying considering it was the second time a guy
in a truck cant drive…i guess those are ABQ drivers for you stay
safe.

Btw i know its John Jones i didn’t know who it was when i flipped
him off but definitely realized who it was quick! no hate or hard
feelings towards my guy John but i think he might need to take some
driving classes cause he almost him multiple times. Hopefully soon
i make another video where we can maybe shake hands and “squash the
beef” lol.

Edit: All of you with John’s meat in your mouth relax, it ain’t
that deep. I know he was a world champion, and no, I don’t think I
could beat him in a fight lol. But like I said, he should still be
more careful. Being famous or trained doesn’t matter when it comes
to someone pulling a trigger. Anything can happen. And like I said,
I don’t carry and didn’t try anything, so I’m not someone to worry
about. So take a break from hopping on his shit

Jones has a long history of run-ins with the law, including a
number of vehicle-related incidents. Most recently, Jones faced a
misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an
accident in Albuquerque in February 2025. Criminal charges in that
case were eventually dismissed. Jones also famously
pleaded guilty
to fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident
in April 2015, which led to him being suspended by the UFC and
stripped of his light heavyweight title. He did not do jail time
for the offense.

Jones ended a brief retirement in hopes of being on the UFC White
House card on June 14. However, “Bones” and the promotion
reportedly did not come to terms on a deal for him to fight at the
event, so it is currently unclear if he will compete in the Octagon
again.
