1998 wurde er als „Master Instructor“ in die Martial Arts Masters, Pioneers, and Legends Hall of Fame aufgenommen. 2000 wurde er in die USMA Hall of Fame und die renommierte World Head of Family Sokeship Hall of Fame aufgenommen 2001 wurde er in die Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame aufgenommen und 2003 ehrte das Black Belt Magazine Grandmaster Shuey als Weapons Instructor of the Year. Er wurde in zahlreiche andere Ruhmeshallen aufgenommen und erhielt ähnliche Anerkennungen.

In 1998, he was inducted into the Martial Arts Masters, Pioneers, and Legends Hall of Fame as a “Master Instructor.
