\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> lightweights Paddy
\nPimblett<\/a> and Dan Hooker<\/a>
\nhave made it clear their past friendship is over.<\/p>\n

During an interview with The
\nMMA Guru<\/a> on Thursday, Pimblett appeared and took shots at a few
\nother names in his division. When discussing the UFC 324<\/a> headliner of himself against Justin
\nGaethje<\/a>, Pimblett dismissed the idea of Gaethje, 37, being too
\nold and therefore less dangerous. \u201cThe Baddy\u201d invoked Hooker\u2019s name
\nin comparison, stating that the American was just two years the
\nelder of the Kiwi, and tossed a dagger at Hooker for getting
\nsubmitted by Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people are saying like Justin
\nGaethje<\/a>, he\u2019s old, and that lad is two years older than
\nDan
\nHooker<\/a>,\u201d Pimblett observed, before taking a dark turn. \u201cDan
\nHooker\u2019s like two years younger than him\u2026Dan Hooker couldn\u2019t
\ngrapple a f—ing rapist off his ma.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hangman\u201d got wind of Pimblett\u2019s remark, and he was incensed.
\nSharing a video on social media showing that at one time they were
\nfriendly towards one another, Hooker issued a threat to the
\nLiverpudlian. Furthering their beef, Hooker invoked Pimblett\u2019s
\ndeceased friend\u2019s name, Ricky, who took
\nhis own life<\/a> several years ago.<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, Hooker posted again<\/a>, claiming that when they next met in
\nperson, they would fight.<\/p>\n

Lowest of the Low<\/h2>\n

Although he is scheduled to face Gaethje on Jan. 24 in Las Vegas,
\nPimblett took more time out of his Friday to lash back at Hooker on
\nsocial media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThought we couldn\u2019t be mates \u2018cause I\u2019m ranked above you,\u201d
\nPimblett wrote accompanied by a laughing emoji. \u201cYou took a
\nhypothetical joke about how bad your grappling is and responded by
\ntalking s–t about my mate who committed suicide? Now that\u2019s lowest
\nof the low and on [sight] is fine by me you\u2019re utter dogs–t at
\nfighting.\u201d<\/p>\n

The victor atop UFC 324 is expected to face Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a> for the undisputed lightweight strap, with Pimblett and
\nGaethje vying for the interim 155-pound belt. Hooker, who had won
\nthree in a row from 2022 to 2024, fell short in November to
\nTsarukyan to quash his immediate title shot aspirations. He is
\nmatched against the hyper-aggressive Benoit St.
\nDenis<\/a> one week after UFC 324, serving in the co-main attraction
\nto the fight card in Sydney, Australia, of UFC 325<\/a>.<\/p>\n
