\nFigueiredo<\/a> is an an unfamiliar position heading into his fight
\nwith Umar
\nNurmagomedov<\/a> at UFC
\n324<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Stake.com’s Monday odds, the Dagestani, who has only
\none loss in his 20 MMA fights, was considered a 10-to-1 favorite.
\nIn an exclusive interview with Sherdog.com, Figueiredo said that
\nfact only increases his motivation.<\/p>\n

“Everyone knows he has a good grappling game, but he’s going to
\nface a different opponent, a former champion, and one punch from me
\ncan change everything,\u201d Figueiredo said. \u201cIn any case, fighting
\nagainst favorites only increases my motivation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former flyweight champion is confident after once again holding
\nhis training camp at Pitbul Brothers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe camp here at Pitbull Brothers was perfect,\u201d he said. \u201cThe
\nresources here are excellent. Sparring partners like Leandro
\nHigo<\/a> from [PFL] only made me push myself to the best every day,
\nand thank God we reached the end of the camp without injury. You
\ncan be sure I’ll deliver a great fight. My goal is to win via
\nknockout or submission.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aggression is Key<\/h2>\n

Regarding the grappling game characteristics of Khabib
\nNurmagomedov<\/a> and Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>‘s team, Deiveson guarantees he is prepared to
\nfrustrate Umar, and his aggression will be a key point of his
\nadvantage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have many more fights than him. I’ll be aggressive, blocking
\ntakedowns and landing hard punches. We know that when we block his
\ntakedowns, he gets frustrated, like other Russian fighters,\u201d said

The Brazilian veteran makes it clear that even if he is taken down,

If he defeats Nurmagomedov, Figueiredo plans on seeking a rematch
