Gaethje (26-5) is scheduled to fight Paddy
\nPimblett<\/a> (23-3) for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324<\/a>
\non Jan. 24 in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Holloway (27-8) is set to trade
\nleather against Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> (36-11) at
\nUFC 326<\/a> on March 7 in Las Vegas. <\/p>\n

Gaethje recently revealed that he is rooting for Holloway to beat
\nOliveira. Gaethje wants a rematch against Holloway if they both win
\ntheir respective fights. Gaethje also hopes that the current
\nlightweight champion, Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a>, moves up a weight class. Gaethje would then defend his
\nlightweight title against Holloway, along with the latter\u2019s BMF
\ntitle on the line, preferably at the White House in June.<\/p>\n

High Stakes<\/h2>\n

\u201cI hope Max wins. I hope Ilia goes up,\u201d Gaethje told the UFC. \u201cAnd
\nthen I can fight Max on the White House card and take the BMF belt
\nand the championship belt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gaethje has only lost to Holloway in his last four outings.
\nHolloway beat Gaethje down for five rounds before knocking him out
\nin the final second in an iconic slugfest at UFC 300 in 2024.
\nGaethje has since rebounded with a win over Rafael
\nFiziev<\/a>. Meanwhile, Holloway suffered his lone knockout loss in
\na failed featherweight title bid against Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a>. \u201cBlessed\u201d has rebounded with a win over Dustin
\nPoirier<\/a>, which also marked his permanent move to
\nlightweight.  <\/p>\n
