Pimblett (23-3) is scheduled to fight Gaethje (26-5) for the
\ninterim lightweight title at UFC 324<\/a>
\non Jan. 24 in Las Vegas. \u201cThe Baddy\u201d believes Max
\nHolloway<\/a> has already delivered the gameplan to beat Justin
\nGaethje<\/a>. Holloway and Gaethje fought for the BMF title at UFC
\n300 in 2024. Holloway picked Gaethje apart on the feet before
\nfinishing him in a last-round buzzer-beater. <\/p>\n

While people expect Pimblett to wrestle Gaethje, the Liverpudlian
\nplans to follow Holloway\u2019s gameplan. Pimblett believes his striking
\nis underestimated. Pimblett notes that while he dominated Michael
\nChandler<\/a> in his last outing, Gaethje had a \u201cFight of the Year\u201d
\nslugfest against Chandler in 2021, which he won via unanimous
\ndecision. Pimblett claims he has the perfect gameplan against
\nGaethje and plans to finish him within three rounds.<\/p>\n

Going Against Expectations<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll keep it on the feet with him,\u201d Pimblett told the UFC.
\n\u201cThere\u2019s a blueprint there to beat him \u2013 Max has done it. Everyone
\nunderestimates my striking. Everyone thinks I\u2019m gonna come in and
\ntry to take him down, and I\u2019m not. He had an absolute war with
\nChandler and I pieced Chandler up. I know MMA math doesn\u2019t work but
\nyou\u2019ll see come Jan. 24 when we have a perfect gameplan and we
\nfinish him in three.\u201d <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Holloway (27-8) is scheduled to fight Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> (36-11) at UFC 326 on March 7 in Las Vegas. <\/p>\n
