\nUFC<\/a> CEO Dana White says there is no truth to rumors of a clash
\nbetween Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> and Jorge
\nMasvidal<\/a> being targeted for the White House.<\/p>\n

Discussion around a fight between the two stars began to pick up
\nsteam on social media recently, and Masvidal only added fuel to the
\nfire when he told MMAjunkie.com<\/a> that he was \u201ctraining for
\nsomething big.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, White quickly dismissed
\nthe possibility when informed that McGregor vs. Masvidal had become
\na hot topic on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what\u2019s funny? In my algorithm on Instagram, I have
\nnothing MMA,\u201d White said. \u201cLiterally nothing MMA pops up.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t listen to any of the goofy s–t. It\u2019s goofy s–t. The MMA
\nworld, I don\u2019t listen to any of that s–t. So literally none of
\nthat is on my algorithm. Almost everything you see on the internet
\nabout our sport is wrong. It\u2019s all wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

As far as putting together the card for the White House, the UFC
\nboss says that matchmaking is likely to begin in earnest shortly
\nafter the conclusion of UFC
\n324<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ll have it dialed in by the second week of February,\u201d
\nWhite said. \u201cWe\u2019ll have everything done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Plans for Harrison vs. Nunes<\/h2>\n

Last week, UFC 324 took a significant hit when Kayla
\nHarrison<\/a> withdrew from her bantamweight title defense against
\nAmanda
\nNunes<\/a> to undergo surgery on her neck. According to White, there
\nwas no consideration as to having Nunes remain on the card against
\na replacement opponent.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis fight is the greatest female fight ever,\u201d White said. \u201cYou
\ncan\u2019t just throw somebody else on it. You wait until she\u2019s ready
\nand you do the fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

White added that it wasn\u2019t a difficult sell to Nunes, who has been
\nretired since June 2023, to wait for Harrison to return to full
\nhealth.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmanda\u2019s so awesome to work with,\u201d White said. \u201cI\u2019ve had a great
\nrelationship with her since Day One. She\u2019s very easy to work
\nwith.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for rescheduling the blockbuster women\u2019s fight, White is
\noptimistic that it will happen in the not-too-distant future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe surgery went well,\u201d he said. \u201cShe [Harrison] should make a
\nfull recovery and we should be able to do the fight this year.\u201d<\/p>\n
