The
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> is adding what should be a
\ngrappler\u2019s delight to its March show in Seattle.<\/p>\n

Per the organization<\/a> on Thursday, Chase
\nHooper<\/a> (16-4-1) and Lance Gibson<\/a>
\nJr. (9-2) will toe the line at UFC Seattle<\/a>, also known as UFC Fight Night 271.
\nThis lightweight affair on March 28 will serve as the first time
\nHooper has competed in his home state of Washington since he went
\n5-0 in the regionals from 2017 to 2018.<\/p>\n

Submission specialist Hooper saw his five-fight, three-sub streak
\ncome to a crushing halt at the hands of Alexander
\nHernandez<\/a> at UFC 319 in 2025. That knockout, the second of his
\nyoung tenure as a pro, derailed the momentum built up by beating
\nthe likes of Jim Miller<\/a>,
\nClay
\nGuida<\/a> and Jordan
\nLeavitt<\/a>. \u201cThe Dream\u201d celebrates an even finish rate of 75%,
\nwith two-thirds of those stoppages coming by sub.<\/p>\n

Gibson exceeds his upcoming foe\u2019s finish rate by a few percentage
\npoints, although he comes in a few years older and fairly less
\nexperienced. The former Bellator MMA<\/a> talent built up a 6-1 in the promotion
\nbefore departing it to test himself in Washington State\u2019s
\nExciteFight promotion\u2014\u201cFearless\u201d won both bouts by first-round
\nstoppage, although one of the two men he topped came in with a
\nrecord of 19-44 when they met.<\/p>\n

UFC Fight Night 271, also known as UFC Seattle, goes down at the
\nClimate Pledge Arena in the most populous city of the Pacific
\nNorthwest. Middleweights headline the March 28 show, as former
\nchamp Israel
\nAdesanya<\/a> comes to blows with heavy hitter Joe Pyfer<\/a>.
\nAdditional main card tilts include a flyweight affair pitting
\nAlexa
\nGrasso<\/a> against Maycee
\nBarber<\/a>, and a heavyweight romp when Marcin
\nTybura<\/a> meets Valter
\nWalker<\/a>.<\/p>\n
