\nmore than that and I should have had opportunities to do smarter
\nthings with my money but I don\u2019t and I haven\u2019t.<\/p>\n
\nCormier<\/a> saying everybody is going to get paid more on this
\ncard. I\u2019m not getting $1 more than I would have if this deal did
\nnot happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nchampion and a current commentator for the promotion, claimed
\nduring an appearance on the \u201cWeighing In\u201d podcast:<\/p>\n
\nCormier said in December. \u201cPeople always talk about, \u2018What\u2019s the
\nUFC going to do for the fighter? Well pay-per-view\u2019s going away,
\nwhat are they going to do?\u2019 I know guys now that are making more
\nmoney than they did even when they were making pay-per-view,
\nbecause pay-per-views just, maybe, weren\u2019t selling as much as they
\nused to.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAugust, UFC CEO Dana White guaranteed that
\nbonuses would increase<\/a>. However, he made no definitive
\nstatements regarding overall fighter pay. As of Wednesday, there
\nhad been no announcement regarding how much post-fight payouts for
\n\u201cPerformance of the Night\u201d and Fight of the Night\u201d would go up.<\/p>\nFocus on the Positive<\/h2>\n
\nthe end of his UFC career. The former
\nWorld Series of Fighting<\/a> Champion also reflected on some of the
\ngood he has done with his earnings.<\/p>\n
