\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> vs. Ultimate Fighting Championship<\/a> matchups are
\nheaded to Steel City.<\/p>\n

According to the PFL<\/a> on
\nThursday, its upcoming event in Pittsburgh has just added two
\nmatchups with newly ranked participants. The organization
\nreleased<\/a> its own official rankings on Tuesday, and all
\ncombatants booked have numbers next to their names. At flyweight,
\nSumiko
\nInaba<\/a> (8-2) will square off with Ariane
\nLipski da Silva<\/a> (17-11), with the two ladies toeing the line at
\nthe UPMC Events Center in the second-largest city in Pennsylvania
\non March 28.<\/p>\n

Inaba, 34, will be looking to bounce back from a one-sided decision
\ndefeat to Dakota
\nDitcheva<\/a> that some considered a \u201cBeatdown of the Year\u201d
\ncandidate. That loss to the British striker ended a two-fight win
\nstreak for the Hawaiian, who took a win on the scorecards against
\nSaray
\nOrozco<\/a> and stopped Mackenzie
\nStiller<\/a> with strikes. The former Bellator MMA<\/a> player has never competed outside of a
\nmajor organization as a professional.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Queen\u201d Lipski da Silva will be walking to a cage other than
\nthe UFC\u2019s for the first time since 2018 when she faces Inaba. Two
\nyears younger than her opponent, the Brazilian will serve as the
\nfar more experienced woman, with more bouts in the UFC alone (14)
\nthan Inaba has in her whole career (10). Lipski da Silva departed
\nthe promotion after three straight losses, concluding her time with
\nthe Las Vegas-based league with a record below .500.<\/p>\n

Cold as Arce<\/h2>\n

In the other
\nPFL Pittsburgh<\/a> matchup announced on Thursday, featherweights go
\nat it as homegrown PFL combatant Alexei
\nPergande<\/a> (7-0) welcomes Julio Arce<\/a>
\n(21-6) to the former tournament-based organization. Every one of
\nPergande\u2019s appearances as a pro have taken place in the PFL cage,
\nas the youngster known as \u201cRussian DNA\u201d made a splash on the
\ndefunct Challenger Series and has since gone on to build up an
\nundefeated record.<\/p>\n

Pergande\u2019s seven wins include a trio of submissions, with his two
\nbrabo chokes of Akeem
\nBashir<\/a> and Ethan Goss<\/a>
\nmaking him the first athlete in company history to land multiple
\nsubmissions of that type. Since then, Mark Ewen<\/a> has
\ngone on to procure off two such chokes in the PFL Europe circuit to
\ntie his organizational record. The 24-year-old never competed in
\nany PFL tournament, instead developing as a \u201cshowcase\u201d athlete for
\nhis tenure thus far.<\/p>\n

Arce\u2019s 10-bout UFC stint came to a close in 2024 despite him coming
\noff a knockout win over Herbert
\nBurns<\/a>. Ahead of that match, Arce missed weight, prompting his
\ndeparture that included a brief effort to join the ill-fated Global
\nFight League. When that organization fell apart before it got
\ngoing, Arce saddled up with the Victory Fighting League promotion
\nin New York and rattled off a pair of victories in 2025 over fellow
\nUFC expats Sheymon
\nMoraes<\/a> and Wilson
\nReis<\/a>.<\/p>\n
