\nMayweather<\/a> has filed a lawsuit against Showtime and former
\nShowtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza seeking to recoup
\nmissing earnings from a number of his fights.<\/p>\n
\nchampion claims ex-manager Al Haymon misappropriated a \u201csignificant
\nportion of his career earnings\u201d while collaborating with Showtime
\nand Espinoza. Mayweather is seeking \u201cto recover hundreds of
\nmillions of dollars in the misappropriated funds and damages
\nresulting from a long-running and elaborate scheme of financial
\nfraud.\u201d In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court,
\nMayweather is seeking $340 million and punitive damages.<\/p>\n
\nmoney from some of his biggest fights \u2014 including bouts against
\nManny
\nPacquiao<\/a> and Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> \u2014 directly to Haymon. According to Mayweather, that
\nmoney is \u201cmissing and unaccounted for.\u201d<\/p>\nLost Financial Records<\/h2>\n
\nfinancial records for his fights, the company claimed they weren\u2019t
\navailable, per the suit. Mayweather is suing Showtime and Espinoza
\nfor iding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty, civil conspiracy
\nto commit fraud, conversion and unjust enrichment. Haymon is not
\nlisted in the suit.<\/p>\n
\nhundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for Showtime,\u201d attorney
\nBobby Samini said in statement to TMZ Sports. \u201cMr. Mayweather now
\ntakes this fight to the courtroom to recover what he rightfully
\nearned. Retiring undefeated at 50-0, Mr. Mayweather will go the
