According to
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> two-division champ Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a>, he\u2019s back.<\/p>\n

Current lightweight king and former featherweight beltholder
\nTopuria (17-0) declared on Thursday that he was going to return
\nsoon to competition. The Spanish fighter born in Germany to
\nGeorgian parents has settled his case out of court with ex-wife
\nGeorgiana Uzcategui, with Spanish outlet Marca<\/a> first breaking the news that the two had
\ncome to an agreement.<\/p>\n

Per Marca, the settlement offer initially given by Topuria has been
\naccepted, resulting in Uzcategui withdrawing her lawsuit against
\nhim. Recent rumors were dispelled by his post, including that he
\nhad been forced to sell his home in Madrid, Spain. Topuria ended
\nany doubt by posting<\/a> training
\nvideos in that house, a standalone gym that includes ample training
\ngear and even a few recovery tanks like a hyperbaric chamber.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll Be the Main Event<\/h2>\n

In his post on social media on Thursday, the lightweight kingpin
\ndid not mince words.<\/p>\n

His caption, in its entirety, read, \u201cThe Champ is back!!!\u201d It
\naccompanied a few photos of the athlete as well as a pair of videos
\ntaken in his sprawling home gym that rivals professional gyms
\nelsewhere. If Topuria had his way, he would come back on the June
\n14, which is expected to be the fight card held at the White House.
\nShould that come to pass, he would attempt to unify his lightweight
\nstrap with interim titleholder Justin
\nGaethje<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The aforementioned Gaethje picked up interim gold\u2014the second time
\nhe has done so in his UFC career\u2014by beating up on Paddy
\nPimblett<\/a> across five rounds. \u201cThe Highlight\u201d agreed with
\nTopuria that they need to compete at the White House event this
\nsummer. During his Thursday appearance on \u201cThe Pat
\nMcAfee Show,\u201d<\/a> Gaethje reiterated his ideal next matchup.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been a huge fan of this sport, and nobody is as consistent or
\nas exciting as me,\u201d Gaethje boasted. \u201cIlia Topuria on the White
\nHouse [event]. Has to be. Has to be. No other option. Walking out
\nof the Oval Office into the cage, wearing the flag\u2026I\u2019ve been
\nspeaking it into existence since I fought [Rafael]\nFiziev<\/a> last year, I\u2019m gonna fight\u2014I thought it would be Topuria
\nin January, and then I would defend my belt on the White House card
\nin June.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, with a laugh, \u201cI think we\u2019re going to main event [the
\nWhite House card]. I think we\u2019ll be the main event. I\u2019m totally
\nguessing, throwing s–t against the wall right now. But, what else?
\nThey had us\u2014specifically, me, above Amanda
\n[Nunes]<\/a> and Kayla
\n[Harrison]<\/a>, and that\u2019s the biggest fight in women\u2019s MMA, and
\nthey had me above them, so I can\u2019t imagine who would headline [over
\nus.]\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Highlight\u201d further explained that his match with Pimblett took
\na lot out of him, and that he has been recovering while not
\nstrictly adhering to his dietary plans. With the event over four
\nmonths away and no bouts booked for it, Gaethje will soon keep
\nhimself ready for the call he expects to come shortly.<\/p>\n
