Evloev was scheduled to welcome former Bellator
\nMMA<\/a> star Aaron Pico<\/a>
\nto the
\nUFC<\/a> last August at
\nUFC 319<\/a>. However, Evloev pulled out of the matchup with hardly
\nover two weeks to go before fight night. Evloev recently revealed
\nthat he was forced out of the fight due to coronavirus, the same
\nvirus responsible for the worldwide lockdown in 2020-21. Evloev
\nclaims he was affected by the virus in Thailand and decided to pull
\nout when even easy exercises made him feel terrible.<\/p>\n

Struggling to Train<\/h2>\n

\u201cLast time I pulled out because of some type of coronavirus in
\nThailand,\u201d Evloev told Submission Radio. \u201cI was ready to fight, but
\ntwo weeks before the fight I started feeling so bad \u2014 even doing
\neasy exercises made me feel so bad, so I decided to pull out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Evloev (19-0) was replaced on short notice by Lerone
\nMurphy<\/a> (17-0), who knocked out Pico with a highlight reel
\nspinning back elbow. Champion Alexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a> even said that Murphy might have jumped ahead of
\nEvloev in the title race with his knockout win over Pico. However,
\nboth Evloev and Murphy were sidelined as Diego Lopes<\/a>
\nchallenged Volkanovski in a rematch for the title at
\nUFC 325<\/a> last month. Volkanovski defended his title with a
\nunanimous decision win over Lopes. Evloev and Murphy are now
\nscheduled to fight in a potential title eliminator in the main
\nevent at
\nUFC London<\/a> on March 31 at the O2 Arena. <\/p>\n
