\nfollowing the procedure, humorously comparing his red-eyed image to
\nMichael
\nJackson<\/a>\u2019s Thriller video while playing the theme from \u201cSilence
\nof the Lambs\u201d in the background.<\/p>\n

No Laughing Matter<\/h2>\n

The incident that led to Aspinall\u2019s current plight was no laughing
\nmatter, however. The Brit was on the receiving end of a double-eye
\npoke early in his heavyweight title defense against Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\nat UFC 321<\/a>
\nthis past October. The bout was ruled a no contest at the 4:35 mark
\nof Round 1 when it was determined that Aspinall couldn\u2019t
\ncontinue.<\/p>\n

The medical team who performed the surgery on Aspinall shared on
\n
\nupdate<\/a> on the fighter Tuesday, revealing that the plan was to
\n\u201ccontiue the journey to get Tom\u2019s vision back to fighting fitness.\u201d
\nAspinall is expected to face Gane in a rematch when he is fully
\nrecovered, but there is currently no timetable for the champion\u2019s
