\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> is jamming the first show in
\nApril full of intriguing mid-tier matchups.<\/p>\n

Fresh off his shocking upset of Malcolm
\nWellmaker<\/a> at UFC 322 this past November, Ethyn Ewing<\/a>
\n(9-2) will be returning to action on April 4 at the Apex in Las
\nVegas as part of
\nUFC Fight Night 272<\/a>. He will be relocating to his standard
\nweight class of bantamweight, where he will be met by ex-flyweight
\nRafael
\nEstevam<\/a> (14-0) who is moving up to greet him. News was first
\nreported on Wednesday night by Ewing on his Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Professor Finesser\u201d established himself as one to watch when
\nhe outworked highly touted prospect Wellmaker in a short-notice
\neffort. Ahead of that pairing, Wellmaker closed as high as a -500
\nfavorite, and Ewing put the screws to him across three tough,
\nthrilling rounds. In the process, Ewing handed \u201cThe Machine\u201d his
\nfirst career defeat, halting several streaks for Wellmaker
\nincluding a four-fight stretch of knockout victories.<\/p>\n

After working his way up to Dana White’s Contender Series<\/a> by crushing
\nthrough the Shooto Brasil circuit, former flyweight Estevam picked
\nup a contract in 2022 by wrecking Joao Elias<\/a>
\nin two rounds. While he has rattled off three decision wins in the
\nOctagon thus far, two of them came after he missed substantially
\nmissed weight by a few pounds each time. This has prompted his
\nrelocation to 135 pounds, a division he had competed at in the
\npast.<\/p>\n

UFC Fight Night 272 currently has 11 bouts scheduled for its
\nbilling, but no headliner is currently official. Likely serving
\nhigh on the main card include a strawweight clash pitting Virna
\nJandiroba<\/a> against Tabatha
\nRicci<\/a>, but it is not slated to be this event\u2019s main attraction.
\nOther matches on the books include a middleweight melee as Edmen
\nShahbazyan<\/a> takes on Jun Yong
\nPark<\/a> as well as a lightweight affair when Tofiq
\nMusayev<\/a> fights Samuel
\nSanches<\/a>. Jandiroba and Ricci serve as the lone two athletes
\ncurrently set for the Fight Night that are ranked by the
\npromotion.<\/p>\n
