\nUFC 326<\/a> headliner, whom he eventually wants to fight. <\/p>\n

Max
\nHolloway<\/a> will put his BMF belt on the line in a rematch against
\nCharles
\nOliveira<\/a> at UFC 326 on March 7 in Las Vegas. Tsarukyan is
\nbacking his former foe Oliveira to beat Holloway. While Tsarukyan
\nthinks Oliveira isn\u2019t the most technical sometimes, he believes \u201cdo
\nBronx\u201d outperforms himself on good nights. Tsarukyan earned a split
\ndecision win over Oliveira in their matchup in 2024. However,
\nTsarukyan claims the scorecards didn\u2019t do justice as he beat
\nOliveira convincingly. \u201cAhalkalakets\u201d wants Oliveira to beat
\nHolloway so that he can run it back with the Brazilian and show
\nthat he has always been better.<\/p>\n

\u2018We Have a History\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cSometimes Oliveira fights so bad, but sometimes he’s unreal,\u201d
\nTsarukyan said on Telegram. \u201cYou never know with him. I still lean
\ntowards him to win. I hope Oliveira wins, we have a history. We can
\nrematch. People say I won via split decision, but I think I won
\nconvincingly. I won all rounds. I need to finish him and show
\npeople that victory wasn’t an accident. Even two years ago I was a
\nlevel above him.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the win over Oliveira (36-11) earned Tsarukyan (23-3) a title
\nshot against Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>, he backed out a day before the fight due to an
\ninjury. That withdrawal has cost Tsarukyan nearly a year at his
\nprime as he has been sidelined from the title picture. While
\nTsarukyan expected to secure a title shot with a win over Dan Hooker<\/a>
\nlast November, he had to wait in the wings as Justin
\nGaethje<\/a> won the interim lightweight title against Paddy
\nPimblett<\/a> at UFC 324<\/a>
\nlast month. Gaethje is now expected to fight the champion Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a> in a title unifier. Meanwhile, Oliveira has gone 2-1
\nsince his loss to Tsarukyan and is fresh off a submission win over
\nMateusz
\nGamrot<\/a>. <\/p>\n
