Muhammad
\nMokaev<\/a> is seemingly eyeing a
\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> contract. <\/p>\n

Despite being undefeated, Mokaev was surprisingly released from the
\n
\nUFC<\/a> following a lackluster win over Manel Kape<\/a>
\nin 2024. While rumors suggested that it was due to behavioral
\nissues, Mokaev claims he had been warned that his fighting style
\nwas not entertaining. <\/p>\n

Mokaev has since picked up wins in Brave CF, 971 FC and Karate
\nCombat. Mokaev became the inaugural Brave CF flyweight champion
\nwith a head-kick knockout win over Gerard
\nBurns<\/a> last November. Mokaev is now calling for a PFL matchup
\nagainst Sergio
\nPettis<\/a>, the younger brother of former UFC lightweight champion
\nAnthony
\nPettis<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Idols Become Rivals<\/h2>\n

Mokaev recalled sharing a video of Pettis\u2019 fight against Ryan Benoit<\/a>
\nat UFC 185 eleven years ago. Mokaev believes a potential PFL
\nmatchup against Pettis is the biggest possible flyweight fight
\noutside the UFC right now.<\/p>\n

\u201c11 years ago , shared this fight on my Facebook,\u201d Mokaev wrote on
\nX. \u201cWatching Sergio way back, one of the best flyweights. And today
\nI think if PFL makes this fight happen it be biggest fight outside
\nof UFC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mokaev (16-0) has seven UFC wins to his name with four finishes.
\nMeanwhile, Pettis parted ways with the UFC in 2020 after going 9-5
\nin the promotion. \u201cThe Phenom\u201d signed with Bellator
\nMMA<\/a> and is now in the PFL since it took over Bellator. Coming
\noff wins over Raufeon
\nStots<\/a> and Magomed
\nMagomedov<\/a>, Pettis (25-7) is among the best flyweights in the
\nworld, with wins over the likes of Joseph
\nBenavidez<\/a> and Kyoji
\nHoriguchi<\/a>.<\/p>\n
