\nXtreme Couture<\/a> head coach Eric Nicksick believes what happens
\nin the gym should stay in the gym. <\/p>\n

Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> (30-7) has been accusing middleweight champion
\nKhamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> (15-0) of inactivity for a while now. Chimaev claims
\nStrickland is irked with him after getting submitted in the past
\nwhile training together at Xtreme Couture. <\/p>\n

Strickland scored an upset win by knocking out Anthony
\nHernandez<\/a> at
\nUFC Houston<\/a> last weekend. Strickland subsequently called for a
\ntitle shot against Chimaev. Strickland claims Chimaev submitted him
\nin a situational grappling spar. The former middleweight champ
\nclaims he made Chimaev quit training at Xtreme Couture. Strickland
\nasked his teammates and his longtime coach, Nicksick, to back up
\nhis claims. Meanwhile, Chimaev claims he destroyed Strickland in
\nsparring, and Nicksick is aware of it.

However, Nicksick refuses to back up the claims of either
\nStrickland or Chimaev. Nicksick believes what happens in training
\nshould stay inside the gym. Nicksick further warns that fighters
\nshouldn\u2019t be focused on their sparring experience while going into
\nan actual fight against the same dance partner.<\/p>\n

“I think what happens in the training room should stay in the
\ntraining room,\u201d Nicksick told \u201c\u2026 Thinking that just because you
\nbeat a guy in the training room, whether you’re on the A side or B
\nside, you shouldn’t take that into the fight. What happens in the
\ntraining room, I feel like, should stay in the room. I think both
\nguys are great competitors and game opponents.\u201d<\/p>\n
