\nGaethje<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Pimblett (23-4) faced his biggest step up in competition to date in
\nGaethje for the vacant lightweight title at UFC 324<\/a>
\nlast month. Despite an immense display of grit, Pimblett suffered a
\nbeatdown en route to a unanimous decision loss against
\nGaethje. <\/p>\n

Pimblett says he is being lauded for the loss against Gaethje more
\nthan he has been praised for his seven
\nUFC<\/a> wins leading up to that. \u201cThe Baddy\u201d also revealed that he
\ngot a weird feeling just before walking out for the fight. While
\nPimblett didn\u2019t feel his usual confident self, he brushed off the
\nfeeling once his walkout music started playing. The Liverpudlian
\nbelieves he might have been waiting too long backstage before
\nwalking out. Regardless, Pimblett had a perfect camp and weight cut
\nand makes no excuses for his loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always watch me fights back,\u201d Pimblett said on YouTube. \u201cEven
\nthough I lost, it was a very entertaining fight to watch. Everyone
\nkeeps telling me how much they like the fight and the heart I
\nshowed and all that. But it\u2019s crazy because I feel like I\u2019m getting
\nmore praise for losing this fight than all seven of me UFC wins\u2026
\nIt\u2019s weird to be honest, before we walked and we were stood there,
\nI had a weird feeling. But it\u2019s one of them, you get weird feelings
\nnow and then. I didn\u2019t feel as confident as I usually do. But then
\nme music comes out and I start bouncing out, there\u2019s no feeling
\nlike it. I love that moment when I walk out. I think we were
\nwaiting a bit too long at the back\u2026 Felt boss in fight camp, I had
\na great weight cut, I had no injuries for once, everything was
\ngoing great and I felt boss. So I have no excuses.\u201d

\nhe didn\u2019t feel as confident as usual.<\/p>\n
