With Alex
\nPereira<\/a> likely moving to heavyweight, a new 205-pound champion
\nwill be crowned in Miami this spring.<\/p>\n

Jiri
\nProchazka<\/a> and Carlos
\nUlberg<\/a> will vie for the vacant light heavyweight crown in the
\nUFC
\n327<\/a> headliner, the Las Vegas-based promotion announced Friday
\nnight. UFC 327 takes place on April 11 at the Kaseya Center in
\nMiami and will also see Joshua Van<\/a>
\ndefend the flyweight strap against Tatsuro
\nTaira<\/a> in the evening\u2019s co-main event. There was no mention of
\nPereira\u2019s next move, though the popular Brazilian has been linked
\nto fights against the likes of Jon Jones<\/a> and
\nCiryl
\nGane<\/a> for months now.<\/p>\n

A handful of new fights were also confirmed on Friday, including
\nBeneil
\nDariush<\/a> vs. Manuel
\nTorres<\/a> at lightweight; Patricio
\nFreire<\/a> vs. Aaron Pico<\/a>
\nat featherweight; Mateusz
\nGamrot<\/a> vs. Esteban
\nRibovics<\/a> at lightweight and Kelvin
\nGastelum<\/a> vs. Vicente
\nLuque<\/a> at middleweight.

Prochazka enjoyed a brief championship reign at 205 pounds in 2022
\nwhen he captured the belt with a fifth-round submission of Glover
\nTeixeira<\/a> at UFC 275. \u201cBJP\u201d was forced to vacate the title later
\nthat year after suffering a shoulder injury. The 33-year-old Czech
\nRepublic native has twice challenged for the belt since then,
\nfalling to Pereira via technical knockout at both UFC 295 and UFC
\n303. Prochazka is coming off finishes of Jamahal
\nHill<\/a> and Khalil
\nRountree<\/a> in his last two Octagon appearances.<\/p>\n

Ulberg, meanwhile, has won nine consecutive
\nUFC<\/a> outings since dropping his promotional debut to Kennedy
\nNzechukwu<\/a> in March 2021. A memorable 2025 propelled the City
\nKickboxing representative to the top of the contender\u2019s queue, as
\nhe earned victories over former champ Jan
\nBlachowicz<\/a> and ex-title challenger Dominick
\nReyes<\/a>.<\/p>\n
