Being Max
\nHolloway<\/a>\u2019s coach must be tough during the last 10 seconds of
\nhis fights. <\/p>\n

Although he was already winning the fight, Holloway iconically
\npointed down to the ground for a slugfest in the final seconds of
\nhis BMF title fight against Justin
\nGaethje<\/a> in 2024. \u201cBlessed\u201d knocked out Gaethje exactly at the
\nfinal bell in one of the greatest spectacles in modern MMA.
\nHolloway\u2019s inviting his opponents for a slugfest in the final
\nseconds has since become a ritual.  However, Holloway recently
\nrevealed that his coaches are absolutely against the idea. While
\nhis coaches constantly urge to avoid a brawl, Holloway wants his
\nfinal 10 seconds after sticking to their game plan for the whole
\nfight.<\/p>\n

‘They Hate It’<\/h2>\n

\u201cThey hate it,\u201d he said in an interview on Freestylebender<\/a>. \u201cThey tell me not to ever do that.
\nThey tell me to run away\u2026 I\u2019m like, \u2018Coaches, I love you guys, but
\nyou came up with the game plan. You made me fight this way the
\nwhole fight – just give me these 10 seconds, please. And if I\u2019m a
\njackass in those 10 seconds then you can tell me what it is.\u2019 But
\nthey hate it. They want to slap me all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

A master of trading in the pocket, Holloway (27-8) is coming off a
\ndecision win over Dustin
\nPoirier<\/a>. Poirier, who is also known for his boxing in the
\npocket, admitted that he couldn\u2019t get the better of Holloway in the
\nfinal ten seconds. Holloway is now scheduled to put his BMF title
\non the line against Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> (36-11) at UFC 326 on March 7 in Las Vegas. Oliveira
\nclaims he wouldn\u2019t hesitate to engage in a slugfest against
\nHolloway right from the opening bell. <\/p>\n
