\nUsman<\/a>, but in wrestling. <\/p>\n

Covington recently called out Usman for a wrestling match at Real
\nAmerican Freestyle. While Usman is currently rallying for a
\n
\nUFC<\/a> welterweight title shot, Covington is ready to wrestle him
\nif he can’t secure the gold bid. Covington believes Usman would be
\ninterested in the proposition, despite having beaten him twice in
\nthe UFC. \u201cChaos\u201d disputes his title losses against Usman \u2013 the
\nfirst one as an early stoppage, and the rematch as a decision
\nrobbery.<\/p>\n

‘It’s a Huge Matchup’<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to see Usman in Real American Freestyle,\u201d Covington
\nrecently told Bloody Elbow. \u201cWe need to settle the trilogy in RAF.
\nIf Usman doesn\u2019t get the title fight, come see daddy at Real
\nAmerican Freestyle and let\u2019s do this trilogy, bitch\u2026 I think he
\nwould take the challenge – he\u2019s a competitor, he likes to compete.
\nHe still has that fire and drive; he wants these title fights, he
\nwants these big matchups. It\u2019s a huge matchup, there\u2019s a huge
\nmarket for RAF right now\u2026 I think he wants to settle the score.
\nHe\u2019s said for a while that he wants a trilogy with me. We\u2019ve got
\nunfinished business. The first fight was a scam, I kicked him in
\nthe liver, it was called a nut shot and then it was an early
\nstoppage. I clearly stood up and protested right away. The second
\nfight \u2014 a lot of people had me winning that fight 3-2 at Madison
\nSquare Garden. So let\u2019s settle this in RAF.\u201d<\/p>\n

  Covington (17-5) first suffered a stoppage loss against
\nUsman (21-4) in a failed welterweight title bid in 2019. Covington
\nthen came up on the short side of a decision in their rematch in
\n2021. Covington has since gone 1-2 in the UFC and hasn\u2019t competed
\nsince a stoppage loss against Joaquin
\nBuckley<\/a> in 2024. Covington has since defeated Luke
\nRockhold<\/a> in a wrestling match at RAF 5 this past January.
\nMeanwhile, Usman rebounded from a three-fight skid with a decision
\nwin over Buckley in June 2025. <\/p>\n
