Petr
\nYan<\/a> wasn\u2019t impressed with Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a>\u2019s title reign. <\/p>\n

Dvalishvili won the bantamweight title against Sean
\nO’Malley<\/a> in 2024. \u201cThe Machine\u201d then defended his title against
\nUmar
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>, submitted O\u2019Malley in a rematch, and defended his
\ntitle a third time against Cory
\nSandhagen<\/a> \u2014 all within a year. Dvalishvili then put his title
\non the line for the fourth time last year against Yan at
\nUFC 323<\/a> in December. Yan completely shut down Dvalishvili\u2019s
\ngame in every aspect and battered him down to earn a unanimous
\ndecision win. <\/p>\n

Yan wasn\u2019t very impressed with Dvalishvili\u2019s title reign,
\nconsidering he fought O\u2019Malley twice within that span. The
\nbantamweight champion believes Dvalishvili didn\u2019t even need to
\nprepare for his rematch against \u201cSuga.\u201d<\/p>\n

Easy Money<\/h2>\n

\u201cTwo of those four fights were against Sean O\u2019Malley,\u201d Yan said on
\n“The Ariel Helwani Show.\u201d<\/a> \u201cOne time, he
\nbasically mauled him, and the other time he choked him out with one
\narm. So does it count as four? I think that he didn\u2019t even prepare
\nfor Sean O\u2019Malley, honestly. He just knew he was gonna wrestle him
\nout.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Dvalishvili (21-5) defeated Yan (20-5) in their first clash
\nin 2023, \u201cNo Mercy\u201d claims his hand was injured in the fight. Yan
\nsays Dvalishvili made a grave mistake if he didn\u2019t prepare well for
\ntheir rematch this past December. <\/p>\n
