Reinier
\nde Ridder<\/a> believes he hasn\u2019t strayed too far away from the
\n
\nUFC<\/a> middleweight title picture. <\/p>\n

De Ridder was on the cusp of title contention with four straight
\nUFC wins, including one over former champion Robert
\nWhittaker<\/a>. De Ridder was then scheduled to fight Anthony
\nHernandez<\/a> in October 2025. However, Brendan
\nAllen<\/a> replaced an injured Hernandez on short notice against de
\nRidder. \u201cAll in\u201d brutally beat down de Ridder, forcing the
\nDutchman\u2019s corner to throw in the towel before the fifth
\nround. <\/p>\n

De Ridder is now scheduled to fight Caio
\nBorralho<\/a> at
\nUFC 326<\/a> on Saturday in Las Vegas. \u201cThe Dutch Knight\u201d believes
\nthe winner of his fight against Borralho gets right back into title
\ncontention with an impressive performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it goes for both of us,\u201d he told MMAjunkie.com<\/a>. \u201cWhoever wins this one
\nand does it in spectacular fashion, gets right back in the title
\nmix. There\u2019s a lot of cool fights out there and all I have to do is
\nput him away and I think I\u2019m lined up to get all those fights
\nagain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Very Well Balanced\u2019<\/h2>\n

Weighing in on his upcoming opponent, de Ridder (21-3) says his
\nopponent\u2019s best attribute is his composure. De Ridder doesn\u2019t think
\nBorralho (17-2) is particularly exceptional in any aspect of the
\ngame. However, de Ridder believes Borralho\u2019s skill lies in knowing
\nexactly when to up the tempo and when to slow it down.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think his best trait is \u2013 he knows when to pour it on, he knows
\nwhen to take a step back,\u201d de Ridder said. \u201cI don\u2019t think he is
\namazing anywhere, he\u2019s not the greatest grappler, he\u2019s not the
\ngreatest knockout artist. But he is very measured, very well
\nbalanced.\u201d <\/p>\n
