Reyes faced Douglas
\nSilva de Andrade<\/a> in a featherweight matchup at
\nUFC Mexico<\/a> on Saturday at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City,
\nMexico. The 40-year-old Andrade (29-7) made his featherweight
\ndebut, moving up from bantamweight. Reyes paid the price early for
\nkeeping his hands low as Andrade dropped him. However, \u201cBlair\u201d
\nsurvived the scare and came from behind to secure a finish via
\nground-and-pound with a second remaining in the first
\nround. <\/p>\n

Reyes says he wants to be a crowd favorite by being different.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to be different,\u201d he said in his post-fight Octagon
\ninterview. \u201cI just want that the crowd notices me and they realize
\nthat a Colombian fighter is doing very different things in order to
\nwin the championship.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Familiar Feeling<\/h2>\n

While Mexico City\u2019s elevation is a test for some fighters,
\nColombia\u2019s Reyes feels right at home there. With a lot of training
\npartners and friends being Mexican, Reyes almost feels like
\nfighting in Colombia when he is fighting in Mexico.<\/p>\n

\u201cFighting here in Mexico is almost like fighting in Colombia for
\nme,\u201d Reyes said. \u201cIt\u2019s almost my home. My training partners are
\nfrom Mexico, a lot of my friends are from Mexico. So I feel just
\nlike home.\u201d <\/p>\n

Reyes (23-5) paid more than his share of dues on the regional
\ncircuit before earning his
\nUFC<\/a> contract on the
\nDana White’s Contender Series<\/a> last year. The 32-year old has
\nfinished 19 of his 23 career wins so far. <\/p>\n
