\nKakhorov<\/a> believes Oktagon 85<\/a> has the potential to deliver one of
\nthe most violent headliners in the promotion\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

With the vacant bantamweight title on the line live from the
\nBarclays Arena in Hamburg, Germany, \u201cThe Killer\u201d has been tasked
\nwith taking out former
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> prospect Igor
\nSeverino<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Severino (9-1) went viral two years ago after he infamously bit
\nAndre
\nLima<\/a> midway through the second round of his UFC debut. \u201cThe
\nHannibal\u201d was instantly cut by the promotion but found a home with
\nOktagon MMA<\/a>, where he\u2019s rebranded himself after
\nthe legendary film villain and cannibal Hannibal Lecter. But
\nKakhorov isn\u2019t amused by Severino\u2019s mind games and promises to make
\nthe 22-year-old pay if he even considers chewing his way out of a
\ndefeat Saturday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can kill him, like I will kill him and put an end to this
\nHannibal stuff,\u201d Kakhorov warned while sitting down with
\nSherdog.com. \u201cHe\u2019s strong and dangerous. Very explosive, but I am
\nmore of a threat than him. He\u2019s never fought a guy like me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kakohorov\u2019s (13-1) confidence stems from the five-fight win streak
\nhe carries into the cage and nine knockouts on his ledger. The 2023
\n
\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> Europe bantamweight champion was
\non a tear, but has been sidelined since June 2024. Kakohorov was
\ninitially signed to fight Severino for the title last October, but
\na staph infection made Kakohorov\u2019s fight camp a nightmare. He
\nmissed weight, and then the bout was scrapped altogether due to his
\nhealth issues. With that setback behind him, the Tajikistan native
\nbelieves now is the perfect time to add another belt around his
\nwaist.<\/p>\n

Preparing for a title shot has forced the 34-year-old to sharpen
\nhis entire skill set. Despite being known for his explosive
\nstriking, Kakhorov thinks his grappling could play a major role in
\nthe fight and is prepared to submit the Brazilian if the
\nopportunity presents itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can grapple and can finish him on the ground too, but I prefer
\nto stay standing and strike,\u201d Kakhorov boasted. \u201cThat\u2019s the reason
\nwhy I don\u2019t go to the ground. For me, it\u2019s a little bit boring when
\nI go to ground and pound. I do want to prove that I can submit to
\npeople.\u201d<\/p>\n

But for Kakhorov, Saturday\u2019s showdown signifies another opportunity
\nto express his violent nature. He doesn\u2019t concern himself with game
\nplans or storylines. When the cage door closes, Kakhorov\u2019s only
\nfocus is on dismantling the man in front of him. And he promises to
\ndeliver the carnage the fans desire.<\/p>\n

\u201cI fight because I enjoy it,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t think about how to
\nwin. I think about how to destroy my opponent. I don\u2019t tell myself
\nthat \u2018I need to be careful here,\u2019 I\u2019m not careful. I\u2019m here simply
