Georgio Poullas allegedly refused to grapple against Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a> at Hype FC despite being offered a massive
\ncontract. <\/p>\n

Tsarukyan and Poullas met in a freestyle wrestling match at RAF 6
\nlast month. Poullas was accused of multiple fouls, penalized, and
\nlost the match by points. Tsarukyan maintained his composure until
\nthe end of the bout and then punched Poullas as the whole arena
\nerupted in a massive brawl. <\/p>\n

Days later, Tsarukyan and Poullas were booked in a rematch, this
\ntime in submission-only grappling, at Hype FC on March 11 in Rio De
\nJaneiro, Brazil. However, the booking fell through within hours as
\nPoullas pulled out, citing his preference to compete in freestyle
\nwrestling at RAF. Tsarukyan and Poullas will now meet in a rematch
\nat RAF 7 on March 28 in Tampa. <\/p>\n

Hype FC CEO Armand Martirosian claims he was turned down by Poullas
\ndespite offering a lucrative contract. According to Martirosian, he
\noffered Poullas $2.6 million for seven bouts. Martirosian believes
\nPoullas turned down the contract because he found it too good to be
\ntrue, which the social-media wrestler even mentioned in their
\nconversation.<\/p>\n

Martirosian immediately started looking for replacements, calling
\nup the entire UFC roster. However, Martirosian claims the
\nUFC<\/a> has changed its policy since Sharabutdin
\nMagomedov<\/a> and Tsarukyan grappled to a draw at Hype FC in
\nArmenia this past December. According to Martirosian, the UFC now
\ndoesn\u2019t allow most of its active fighters to compete against each
\nother at Hype FC.<\/p>\n

Too Good to Be True?<\/h2>\n

\u201cMy final offer to him was $2.6 million for seven matches,\u201d
\nMartirosian told Red Corner MMA. \u201cI think this must be the biggest
\ncontract in wrestling history. Maybe he didn’t believe we could
\nactually afford that amount of pay. That’s what he actually said,
\n\u2018I don’t believe you’ll pay me this money, it’s too big.\u2019 I would
\nnot say it was a huge disappointment. We started looking for a
\nsubstitute right away. I must have called around the entire UFC
\nroster. But the thing is, following our event in Armenia, the UFC
\nslightly changed their policy, and now they don\u2019t let most of their
\nactive fighters compete against each other at Hype FC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tsarukyan will now face former UFC flyweight Muhammad
\nMokaev<\/a> in the main event at Hype FC on March 11. Meanwhile,
\n\u201cShara Bullet\u201d was originally scheduled to co-headline the event
\nagainst Jorge
\nMasvidal<\/a>. However, \u201cShara Bullet\u201d will now face Edson
\nBarboza<\/a> after Masvidal pulled out due to undisclosed
\nreasons. <\/p>\n
