\nUFC 326<\/a> earlier this month. Oliveira dominated Holloway on the
\nground to earn a unanimous decision win. Despite Oliveira\u2019s
\ndominant performance, some felt that the performance didn\u2019t do
\njustice to the BMF title. Chimaev also mocked the fight for lack of
\nentertainment.<\/p>\n

\ninactivity after their clash at UFC 319 last year. Du Plessis
\ndefended Oliveira\u2019s performance, citing the Brazilian\u2019s constant
\nsubmission threats.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw Khamzat commenting and saying how boring that fight was,\u201d Du
\nPlessis told Fight Forecast<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s kind of rich
\ncoming from him. I mean, at least Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> went for some submissions. He didn\u2019t just lie on top
\nof [Holloway].\u201d <\/p>\n

Chimaev (15-0) dethroned Du Plessis (23-3) to win the middleweight
\ntitle at
\nUFC 319<\/a> last year. Chimaev was slammed for laying and praying
\non Du Plessis instead of looking for a finish. While Du Plessis
\ndoesn\u2019t think Chimaev deserves to criticize the BMF title fight, he
\nalso did not find Oliveira\u2019s performance befitting of the BMF
\ntitle.<\/p>\n

\u201cMax, it wasn\u2019t for a lack of trying,\u201d Du Plessis said. \u201cCharles
\nOliveira<\/a> shut him down completely. Was it a BMF title fight? I
\ndon\u2019t think so. That\u2019s not what the BMF represents. Of course, well
\ndone, Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> did a great job. I\u2019m not bashing him at all. I\u2019m just
\nsaying, what that title represents was not what that
\nwas.\u201d <\/p>\n

Chimaev is now scheduled to defend his title against Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> at UFC 328<\/a>
\non May 10 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. <\/p>\n
