Anders took on Brad
\nTavares<\/a> (21-12) in a middleweight matchup at
\nUFC Vegas 114<\/a> on Saturday at the Apex in Las Vegas. \u201cYa Boi\u201d
\nearned a hard-fought unanimous decision win over Tavares. Anders
\nthen hung up his gloves inside the Octagon, calling an end to a
\nprofessional career spanning over more than a decade. <\/p>\n

Too Much Stress<\/h2>\n

Anders subsequently revealed that he wants to put on his coach\u2019s
\nshoes after retiring from professional competition. However, the
\n38-year-old doesn\u2019t want to coach fighters. Anders explains that
\nwatching one\u2019s students go to war inside the cage is just too
\nstressful. Anders wants to spend his time teaching jiu-jitsu to
\ncasuals and fitness enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just gonna be a dad and a coach. I run a gym. Not looking to
\ncoach fighters because that s\u2014t is nerve-wracking, watching your
\nguy go through that. I just want to coach jiu-jitsu, soccer moms,
\nworking stiffs and things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anders (18-9) made his professional debut in 2015 and entered the
\nUFC as an undefeated prospect just a couple of years later. Anders
\nwent 10-9 in the UFC, consistently taking on battle-tested
\nopponents. The win over Tavares saw Anders rebound from a knockout
\nloss against Chris Leroy Duncan. <\/p>\n
