The Treigning Lab can be a humbling experience even for elite
\nathletes. <\/p>\n

The Treigning Lab, under the guidance of head coach Sam Calavitta,
\nhas been the strength & conditioning home to elite fighters like
\nKhamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> and Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a>. Khalil
\nRountree<\/a> is now the latest addition to the lab, helping Chimaev
\nprepare for his upcoming title fight.  Rountree reveals that
\ntraining at The Treigning Lab has sometimes been a humbling
\nexperience. While Rountree considers himself fit, some training
\nsessions remind him that there are still miles to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was painful,\u201d Rountree said on “The Jaxxon Podcast.\u201d<\/a> \u201cThere were definitely
\nmoments where I would call them humbling because it makes me
\nquestion certain things that I even say about myself. Sometimes I
\nthink I’m really good or in good shape, and then I face a workout
\nlike this, and it makes me realize that there’s so much more to go.
\nAnd so it’s eye-opening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rountree (14-7) has become a mainstay in the
\nUFC<\/a> light heavyweight title picture since his failed title bid
\nagainst Alex
\nPereira<\/a> in 2024. \u201cThe War Horse\u201d has since defeated former
\nchamp Jamahal
\nHill<\/a> and suffered a knockout loss to Jiri
\nProchazka<\/a>, who has only lost to Pereira in the UFC. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Chimaev (15-0) is set to make his first middleweight
\ntitle defense against Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> (30-7) in the main event at UFC 328<\/a>
\non May 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. <\/p>\n
