There<br \/>\nseems to be some bad blood between the two, originating from their<br \/>\ntraining sessions in the past.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"adViAi\">\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p> However, Strickland\u2019s coach, Eric Nicksick, claims they got along<br \/>\nreally well when Chimaev visited the Xtreme Couture gym. According<br \/>\nto Nicksick, the dynamic between Strickland and Chimaev was mostly<br \/>\ncompetitive, with the two pushing each other to their limits.<br \/>\nNicksick has no idea when the relationship turned sour.<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018They Pushed Each Other\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I thought they got along really well,\u201d Nicksick said on<br \/>\n<a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/9dS0qZ1icvk?si=Pfb2Sl__heYk7Yb_&amp;t=683\">&#8220;The Ariel Helwani Show.\u201d<\/a> \u201cI thought they<br \/>\npushed each other really well. I felt like it was more of a<br \/>\ncompetitive environment than anything. Where it kind of took a<br \/>\nturn, I honestly couldn\u2019t tell you\u2026 For me, it was like \u2013 take this<br \/>\nopportunity to learn as much as you can from Khamzat\u2014some of his<br \/>\nroutes, some of the things he does really well on the ground\u2014and<br \/>\njust be a student when he\u2019s in here and listen, learn, and observe<br \/>\nthe way he trains.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Strickland has taken multiple digs at Chimaev, accusing the<br \/>\nchampion of stalling the division. Meanwhile, \u201cBorz\u201d claims<br \/>\nStrickland\u2019s animosity towards him is a result of getting choked<br \/>\nout in sparring.
