Jorge
\nMasvidal<\/a> wonders who in the
\nUFC<\/a> is getting paid their worth, if not Jon Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jones (28-1) and the UFC had a public falling out since the
\nannouncement of the
\nUFC White House<\/a> card. Jones initially stalled the heavyweight
\ndivision for over a year before retiring unceremoniously last June.
\nDana White kept promising that Jones would fight interim champion
\nTom
\nAspinall<\/a>. White would even ragebait reporters who questioned
\nhim about Jones by labelling \u201cBones\u201d the greatest fighter that ever
\nlived. While Jones retired without fighting Aspinall, he returned
\nto the drug testing pool as soon as the White House card was first
\nmentioned. However, White always sounded sceptical about the idea,
\nciting Jones’ unreliability. <\/p>\n

Despite rallying for a spot on the card for nearly a year, Jones
\nfailed to make it. White said that Jones was never part of the plan
\nfor the White House card. Jones lashed out on social media,
\nclaiming to have been in lengthy negotiations with the UFC. Jones
\nhas since asked for his UFC release. <\/p>\n

A Proper Sendoff<\/h2>\n

Masvidal hopes the falling out between Jones and the UFC didn\u2019t
\nhappen over a paycheck. Recalling White\u2019s own words, Masvidal
\nquestions who deserves to get a paycheck they ask for, if not the
\nbest fighter that ever lived. If not the White House card, Masvidal
\nwants Jones to get a proper sendoff with a massive fight and
\npayday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just know that Jon Jones<\/a> is
\none of the best fighters ever,\u201d Masvidal said on the “Death Row MMA\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cYou want to see the
\nguy get paid. But at the same time, there has been inconsistencies
\nwith Jon in the past and Dana\u2026 I hope it\u2019s not a money issue\u2026 If
\nit\u2019s because they don\u2019t want to pay Jon, that\u2019s some s\u2014t to me.
\nBecause out of Dana White\u2019s own mouth \u2013 \u2018Jon Jones<\/a> is
\none of the best fighters that\u2019s ever lived.\u2019 So if the best fighter
\nthat ever lived ain\u2019t getting paid what he deserves, who is?… If
\nhe\u2019s not in the White House card, just put him somewhere else. Put
\nhim in a big fight\u2026 I want to see Jon Jones<\/a>, and
\nnot just against anybody. I want to see him against the biggest,
\nbaddest, best heavyweight possible. Let\u2019s make that fight happen.
\nLet\u2019s give Jon Jones<\/a> a
\npaycheck he deserves before he rides off into the sunset.\u201d<\/p>\n
