The first pair of bouts booked for the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>\u2019s return to Azerbaijan share a
\ncommon theme.<\/p>\n

Brazilian outlet Ag. Fight broke the news on Thursday about the
\nfirst two matches set for UFC
\nBaku<\/a>, which will be held at the Baku Crystal Hall in
\nAzerbaijan\u2019s capital city on June 27. Both fights will be held at
\n185 pounds, featuring one Brazilian against a Russian adversary.
\nThe first<\/a> will
\nsee Michel
\nPereira<\/a> (32-14, 2 NC) take on Sharabutdin
\nMagomedov<\/a> (16-1) in a collision that may have rankings
\nimplications at 185 pounds. Pereira confirmed<\/a> this fight
\nby sharing an AI-generated video of him in pirate captain garb
\nforcing Magomedov to walk the proverbial plank.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemolidor\u201d put a three-fight skid behind him by claiming a split
\ndecision in a bloody thriller with Zachary
\nReese<\/a> at UFC Houston in February. Before getting his hand
\nraised, the high-flying Brazilian had succumbed to strikes from
\nAnthony
\nHernandez<\/a> and Kyle
\nDaukaus<\/a> that bookend a decision defeat to Abusupiyan
\nMagomedov<\/a>. The former welterweight relocated to 185 pounds in
\nthe midst of a huge win streak, one that saw him pick up eight
\nstraight victories across two divisions.<\/p>\n

Russia\u2019s Magomedov put his first career defeat behind him by
\nclaiming a hard-nosed decision victory against Marc-Andre
\nBarriault<\/a> in July 2025. Not counting his five triumphs in the
\nmodified-rules league of Nashe Delo, \u201cShara Bullet\u201d started his
\ncareer with 16 straight wins, with 12 of those coming by knockout.
\nAfter thumping ex-bantamweight Kushal Vyas<\/a>
\nin Thailand in eight seconds, Magomedov punched his ticket to the
\nOctagon and rattled off four straight victories before running into
\nMichael
\nPage<\/a>. The Brit bewildered Magomedov and handed him his first
\nloss.<\/p>\n

Hulk back to smash again<\/h2>\n

It will be a relatively short turnaround for the other man from
\nBrazil currently scheduled for this June 27 lineup. Brunno
\nFerreira<\/a> (15-3) got his chin checked by rival Gregory
\nRodrigues<\/a> in March, putting an end to a three-fight win streak
\nthat included a tapout of Armen
\nPetrosyan<\/a> and a decision over divisional staple Marvin
\nVettori<\/a>. \u201cThe Hulk,\u201d who has earned 14 of his 15 wins inside
\nthe distance, will be meeting Russian striker Ikram
\nAliskerov<\/a> (17-2) at UFC Baku, as first announced<\/a> by
\nAg. Fight as well on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Ferreira went on to confirm this pairing with multiple posts on
\nsocial media<\/a>
\nshortly after it came to light. While Ferreira lost in his last
\ntime out, foe Aliskerov currently rides a two-fight win streak that
\nincludes a knockout of Andre Muniz<\/a>
\nand a three-round unanimous verdict over Jun Yong
\nPark<\/a>. The lone blemish dating back to 2019\u2014a knockout to future
\nchamp Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a>\u2014for the Russian came at the hands of former beltholder
\nRobert
\nWhittaker<\/a> in 2024. Otherwise, Aliskerov has largely landed
\nkimura submissions or put opponents away with his knees and
\nfists.<\/p>\n
