\nJones<\/a> is a completely different fighter from his forgettable
\nfirst
\nUFC<\/a> stint. <\/p>\n

Jones (18-2) took on previously undefeated French prospect Alex
\nSola in a lightweight bout at
\nUFC London<\/a> on Saturday. While Sola dropped Jones early with a
\nspinning-back elbow, the Welsh fighter showed impressive grit in
\nrecovering quickly. Jones came from behind and put on a slugfest to
\nearn a unanimous decision win, handing Sola (11-1) his only career
\nloss. The brutal war also earned the \u201cFight of the Night\u201d
\nhonors. <\/p>\n

Jones made his UFC debut in 2021 and went 1-2 with one no contest
\nin the promotion, suffering his only career losses. \u201cThe Dragon\u201d
\nfought out his UFC contract in 2022 and decided not to renew it.
\nJones then racked up four consecutive wins in
\nCage Warriors<\/a> to earn his second UFC opportunity. The
\n30-year-old has racked up three consecutive wins since starting his
\nsecond UFC stint last year. Jones revealed that he never felt that
\nhe belonged in the UFC during his first tenure. Currently riding a
\nseven-fight winning streak overall, Jones believes he has done
\nenough to deserve a ranked opponent next.<\/p>\n

Body After Body<\/h2>\n

\u201cMy first tenure \u2013 I never felt secure in my foundations,\u201d Jones
\ntold the UFC. \u201cI never felt I truly deserved to be here. And I
\ncould never really secure that win. This time I beat body after
\nbody. I beat a veteran in Jeremy
\nStephens<\/a>, I beat Bolaji Oki<\/a>,
\nand then I\u2019ve just beat Alex Sola. I\u2019ve proved I deserve to be
\nhere\u2026 So, I think I\u2019ve more than made up for my first run. And I
\nthink I proved that I deserve a number next to my name, a Top 15
\nshot.\u201d
