Baraniewski made his sophomore
\nUFC<\/a> appearance in a light heavyweight matchup against Lane at
\n
\nUFC London<\/a> on Saturday. Baraniewski took less than half a
\nminute to drop Lane with an overhand right and followed up with
\nvicious ground-and-pound, forcing the referee to step in. The
\nundefeated Polish prospect earned a $100,000 \u201cPerformance of the
\nNight \u201cbonus for his win over Lane. <\/p>\n

Baraniewski later revealed that he didn\u2019t expect to make such quick
\nwork of Lane. With Lane having a six-inch height advantage,
\nBaraniewski was prepared to go the distance for the first time in
\nhis career. While Baraniewski had an easy night at the office, it
\nwas likely due to his hard training camp. \u201cRudy\u201d revealed that he
\ntravelled to Poznan, Poland, to train with multiple fighters whose
\nphysiques were similar to Lane\u2019s. Baraniewski also trained with
\nformer UFC light heavyweight champion Jan
\nBlachowicz<\/a> and middleweight veteran Roman
\nDolidze<\/a>, who suffered a decision loss against Christian
\nLeroy Duncan<\/a> at UFC London.<\/p>\n

\u2018I Always Train with People Like Him\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cI thought before the fight that it\u2019ll be a hard fight,\u201d
\nBaraniewski said in his post-fight interview with the UFC. \u201cBecause
\nAusten has a good reach, he is 15 centimeters taller than me. So I
\nthought the fight would be 15 minutes\u2026 I always train with guys
\nlike Austen. Because we have a friends club in Poznan, another city
\nin Poland. And in this club, we have four to five people who have
\nthe same reach and height like Austen. So I always train with
\npeople like him\u2026 Preparation was very hard. I trained in three
\nclubs, in my club, in the club in Poznan, and in a club in Warsaw I
\nsparred with Jan
\nBlachowicz<\/a>, I sparred with Roman
\nDolidze<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n

Baraniewski (8-0) has finished all eight of his career outings in
\nthe first round, which includes two UFC wins. Meanwhile, Lane
\n(13-8) has only won one decision in the UFC while suffering five
\nknockout losses. <\/p>\n
