\nfirst MMA card<\/a>on Netflix on May 16 at the Intuit Dome in Los
\nAngeles, California. The card also features former UFC heavyweight
\nchampion Francis
\nNgannou<\/a> against fellow UFC alum Philipe
\nLins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Nate Diaz<\/a> will
\nalso make his MMA return on the card against Mike Perry<\/a>.
\nDuring a recent episode of the JRE podcast, former
\nUFC<\/a> fighter Brendan
\nSchaub<\/a> said that he heard that Diaz is making $10 million for
\nthe fight against Perry. Meanwhile, UFC commentator Joe Rogan then
\nclaimed to have heard that Diaz is getting paid even
\nmore. <\/p>\n

Money to Burn<\/h2>\n

The upcoming Netflix MMA card is being considered a counter to the
\nUFC\u2019s dominance in MMA. Rousey, around whom the card is built, has
\nbeen going off on the UFC brass since the card was announced.
\nHowever, MVP and Netflix might be offering massive paydays to these
\nstars, who are mostly past their heydays. <\/p>\n

Diaz\u2019s opponent, Perry, admitted that he will be earning the
\nbiggest paycheck of his career on the Netflix card. There were
\ntalks of Diaz returning to the UFC for a trilogy fight against
\nConor
\nMcGregor<\/a>. However, Dana White recently said that Diaz probably
\ngot an offer from Netflix that he couldn\u2019t refuse. <\/p>\n

Diaz fought sparingly towards the end of his UFC career and parted
\nways with the promotion following a submission win over Tony
\nFerguson<\/a> in 2022. The Stockton native has since lost a boxing
\nmatch against Jake Paul<\/a> and
\nwon one against Jorge
\nMasvidal<\/a>. <\/p>\n
