\nMurphy<\/a> clashed in a featherweight title eliminator in the main
\nevent at
\nUFC London<\/a> on Saturday. The fight turned out to be a highly
\ntechnical affair, with nothing resembling domination from any
\neither side. Despite getting deducted a point due to a low blow,
\nEvloev walked away with a unanimous decision win. <\/p>\n

However, the win was seemingly not enough to convince everyone that
\nEvloev is getting the next featherweight title shot. Jean Silva<\/a>,
\nwho was in attendance at UFC London, claims he is signing a
\ncontract for the next title shot against Alexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a>. Meanwhile, lightweight contender Tsarukyan is also
\nfancying his chances for a featherweight title shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cUFC fans, is it time for me to save the featherweight division?\u201d
\nTsarukyan wrote on Threads<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lightweight Purgatory<\/h2>\n

Despite being considered the rightful No. 1 contender, Tsarukyan
\n(23-3) has been sidelined from the lightweight title picture since
\npulling out of a scheduled title fight against Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a> last year. Tsarukyan remained sidelined when
\nMakhachev moved up, and Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a> won the vacant title against Charles
\nOliveira<\/a>. \u201cAhalkalakets\u201d finally hoped to secure a title shot
\nafter finishing Dan Hooker<\/a> at
\nUFC Qatar this past November. However, Tsarukyan was snubbed again
\nas Justin
\nGaethje<\/a> defeated Paddy
\nPimblett<\/a> to win the interim title this past January.<\/p>\n

Gaethje is now scheduled to challenge Topuria in a title unifier in
\nthe main event at
\nUFC White House<\/a> on June 14 Meanwhile, Tsarukyan has been
\nkeeping himself active in wrestling competitions. This is not the
\nfirst time Tsarukyan has teased a move to featherweight due to a
