With three losses in his last four
\nUFC<\/a> bouts, Michel
\nPereira<\/a> is well aware that his fight with Sharabutdin
\nMagomedov<\/a> on June 27 will decide his future within the Las
\nVegas-based promotion.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Brazilian journalist Laerte Viana, Michel
\nconfirmed that his victory over Zachary
\nReese<\/a> on Feb. 21 was the last fight of his contract and the UFC
\nchose not to renew it.<\/p>\n

\u201cMick Maynard offered me a fight in April, but it was too close
\nbecause I still had some injuries to heal, so I refused and he
\noffered me this fight with “The Pirate” and I accepted,\u201d Pereira
\nsaid. \u201cThen Mick told me to do this fight and then we’ll talk about
\nthe contract.\u201d<\/p>\n

High Risk, High Reward<\/h2>\n

Pereira is aware of the risk, but he guarantees that the stakes
\nwill not impact his fighting style.<\/p>\n

The secret of the success is run the risk,\u201d he said. \u201cI like to put
\non a show and take risks. If I’m going to be fired, let it be me
\ngetting screwed and doing what I love. There won’t be any of this
\ntaking it to the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

Considering his opponent\u2019s style, Pereira believes that the fight
\nhas everything to not only guarantee his contract, but also a
\npost-fight bonus.<\/p>\n

“I think it’ll last two rounds,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ll both come out
\nbattered, it’ll be a lot of fun for everyone to watch. God willing,
\nI’ll win a bonus to finish paying the bills and be at peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

While not formally announced, Pereira vs. Magomedov is expected to
\nbe part of the upcomign UFC Baku event at the Baku Crystal Hall in
\nBaku, Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n
