Adrian
\nYanez<\/a> won\u2019t throw caution to the wind for an extra
\npaycheck. <\/p>\n

Yanez is scheduled to fight Ricky Simon<\/a>
\nat
\nUFC Seattle<\/a> on Saturday at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle,
\nWashington. While the
\nUFC<\/a> has raised the bonuses for the Paramount era, Yanez won\u2019t
\nbe hunting for a finish against Simon. Yanez learned an important
\nlesson in Michael
\nBisping<\/a>\u2019s middleweight title win over Luke
\nRockhold<\/a> in 2016. While Rockhold was vowing to knock out
\nBisping, \u201cThe Count\u201d dethroned dethroned him with a knockout in the
\nfirst round. As much as Yanez would like an extra paycheck, he
\nknows that his opponent is also lured by the same idea. While Yanez
\nhas earned his fair share of bonuses in the UFC, he wishes it was
\nin the Paramount era instead of ESPN era.<\/p>\n

Don’t Force It<\/h2>\n

\u201cI do want a third check night, but at the same time, I got someone
\nin front of me who\u2019s gonna be looking for the same thing,\u201d Yanez
\ntold MMAjunkie.com<\/a>. \u201cSo sometimes you just gotta
\ntake a smarter approach\u2026 When Michael Bisping won the title, the
\none thing I take back is that \u2013 Luke Rockhold< was saying, \u2018I\u2019m
\ngonna knock out Michael Bisping. I\u2019m gonna do it.\u2019 A lot of times
\nwhen you search for the knockout, you end up getting knocked out.
\nSo I\u2019m not searching for it; if it happens, it happens\u2026 I\u2019ve
\nalready got five bonuses but I wish it was in the Paramount era
\ninstead of the ESPN era.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yanez (17-6) was undefeated in his first five UFC outings, earning
\nfour \u201cPerformance of the Night \u201cbonuses and a \u201cFight of the Night\u201d
\nbonus. The UFC bonuses during the ESPN era were $50,000. However,
\nthe UFC has increased the bonuses to $100,000 starting with the
\nParamount deal this year, while also awarding $25,000 for every
\nfinish. Yanez has dropped three of his last four outings since the
\nend of his bonus winning streak. Meanwhile, Simon (22-7) is coming
\noff a loss against Raoni
\nBarcelos<\/a> that snapped a two-fight winning
\nstreak.  <\/p>\n
