Jean
\nSilva<\/a> is ready to risk everything to get the next title
\nshot. <\/p>\n

Silva (17-3) is rallying for a featherweight title shot against
\nAlexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a>. However, perennial contender Movsar
\nEvloev<\/a> recently maintained his undefeated record by handing
\nLerone
\nMurphy<\/a> his only professional loss at
\nUFC London<\/a> last weekend. That did not deter Silva, who was in
\nattendance at UFC London, from walking up to UFC executiveHunter
\nCampbell with a contract. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Volkanovski has clearly expressed his preference to
\ndefend his title against Evloev rather than Silva. Volkanovski
\nnotes that he has two wins over Diego
\nLopes<\/a>, who defeated Silva via a technical knockout last year.
\nVolkanovski believes Silva is yet to prove himself, and a win over
\nthe Brazilian won\u2019t add much to his legacy compared to a win over
\nEvloev. <\/p>\n

However, Silva hasn\u2019t given up hope of earning the next title shot.
\nSilva argues that the division will stall if Evloev becomes the
\nchampion, given the Russian\u2019s history of fight cancellations. Silva
\nwants Volkanovski to engage in a fan-friendly fight with him
\ninstead of defending takedowns against a wrestler like Evloev.
\nSilva also vows to leave the UFC if he loses against
\nVolkanovski.<\/p>\n

\u2018Stop All the BS\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cIf Movsar wins the division just comes to a halt\u2026 If you think
\nabout Movsar, 11 fights canceled, what is that gonna do?\u201d Silva
\nsaid on “The Ariel Helwani Show.\u201d<\/a> \u201cIf this guy wins the belt,
\nthe belt\u2019s just gonna go away\u2026 [Volkanovski] is afraid of facing
\nme. What does he want to do? Defend against takedowns for 25
\nminutes?… Let’s just stop all the BS. Let’s think straight about
\nit. Let’s go in and exchange some strikes. I’ll say more: if
\nVolkanovski wins, I’ll leave the UFC. That’s what I’ll say.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Evloev (20-0) has had 11 canceled fights in the
\nUFC<\/a>, most of them were due to factors out of his control.
\nUndefeated in 10 UFC fights, Evloev has defeated the likes of
\nMurphy, Aljamain
\nSterling<\/a>, Arnold
\nAllen<\/a> and Lopes. Meanwhile, Silva (17-3) has finished all six
\nof his UFC wins while only losing to Lopes. \u201cLord\u201d has notably
\nbeaten Allen, Bryce
\nMitchell<\/a> and Drew
\nDober<\/a>. <\/p>\n
