Joe
\nPyfer<\/a> is a changed man going into the biggest fight of his
\ncareer to date.<\/p>\n

Pyfer is scheduled to headline
\nUFC Seattle<\/a> against Israel
\nAdesanya<\/a> on Saturday. While performing media obligations, Pyfer
\nis evidently different than his former self. While Pyfer would
\nburst out with emotions back in the day, \u201cBodybagz\u201d can be seen
\ncalm and collected ahead of UFC Seattle. Pyfer reveals that the
\nchange is due to his newfound faith in God.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019ve had a complete resurgence, a complete 360, as far
\nas my faith and God and Jesus Christ,\u201d Pyfer told Full Send MMA<\/a>. \u201cI feel I\u2019ve had an outer body
\nexperience with something, where I was able to see who I was and I
\nwas pretty disappointed. And I feel God gave me direction and a
\nchance to change my life. And it\u2019s the craziest presence I\u2019ve ever
\nfelt in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pyfer credits his soon-to-be wife, Ashlyn, for introducing him to
\nGod. Planning to have a family soon, Pyfer can now finally see life
\nbeyond fighting.<\/p>\n

\u2018My True Legacy’<\/h2>\n

\u201cHer name\u2019s Ashlyn, she\u2019s been my girlfriend for six plus years
\nnow,\u201d Pyfer said. \u201cAnd just envisioning marriage and family and
\nserving her as my significant other, and just rebuilding that with
\ntrust, and God at the center of everything, is going to be
\nsomething that I feel like is my true legacy. And having an actual
\nfamily, whereas before I thought that [fighting] was all or
\nnothing. And I didn\u2019t know who I was outside of fighting. And I
\nthink if you would have taken this away from me, I would have
\nself-destructed.\u201d <\/p>\n

6-1 in the UFC, Pyfer has only lost to Jack
\nHermansson<\/a> in his last
\nUFC<\/a> headliner in 2024. Pyfer has since rebounded with a
\nthree-fight winning streak, most recently a submission win over
\nAbusupiyan
\nMagomedov<\/a> last October. <\/p>\n
