\nto Nakisa [Bidarian]. I get along very well with Nakisa and
\nnothing but love for him for even thinking of me and calling me up,
\nbut it just didn’t work out.<\/p>\n
\nwas me, and I desperately wanted to take the fight, but the UFC has
\na good, good plan for me, and they told me the plan. I like it, and
\nwe’re going to see it through now.\u201d<\/p>\nIt\u2019s Nice to Have Options<\/h2>\n

\nsports in July 2024, dropping a unanimous decision to Diaz in a
\nboxing match. Masvidal has teased a return to the UFC on multiple
\noccasions in recent years, but nothing concrete has come to
\nfruition. That appears to have changed following a recent
\ndiscussion with UFC executive Hunter Campbell. Masvidal hinted that
\nhe has a few options in front of him.<\/p>\n

\nbefore a breakout 2019 campaign brought him to a new level of
\nstardom. That year, he finished Darren Till<\/a>,
\nBen
\nAskren<\/a> and Diaz inside the distance. The victory over Askren,
\nin particular, was a star-making effort, as Masvidal set a UFC
\nrecord for fastest finish with a five-second, flying knee KO of the
\nformer Bellator champion. His triumph over Diaz, meanwhile, earned
\nhim the inaugural BMF title \u2014 a belt that remain a popular piece of
