Alexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a> clearly considers Movsar
\nEvloev<\/a> to be the most deserving title contender. <\/p>\n

Volkanovski (28-4) has long been calling Evloev (20-0) the No. 1
\nfeatherweight title contender. However, Evloev has yet to get a
\ntitle shot, while his fallen opponent, Diego
\nLopes<\/a>, has challenged Volkanovski for the title twice. While
\nVolkanovski was ready to fight Evloev last year, Lerone
\nMurphy<\/a> entered the title picture with a knockout win over
\nAaron
\nPico<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Volkanovski was expecting to fight either Evloev or Murphy, but was
\nmatched up for the second consecutive time against Lopes at
\n
\nUFC 325<\/a> this past January. Volkanovski defeated Lopes the
\nsecond time as well. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Evloev and Murphy clashed at
\nUFC London<\/a> last weekend, in what was considered a clear title
\neliminator. However, despite Evloev earning a majority decision win
\nover Murphy, the title picture remains hazy. Jean Silva<\/a>
\nhas now entered the fray, rallying for the next title shot against
\nVolkanovski. Dana White remained noncommittal when asked about both
\nEvloev and Silva\u2019s chances for the next title shot. <\/p>\n

However, Volkanovski has clearly expressed his preference in
\ndefending his title against Evloev over Silva. Volkanovski notes
\nthat Evloev has a superior resume with wins over the likes of
\nLopes, Arnold
\nAllen<\/a>, Aljamain
\nSterling<\/a>, and Murphy. Meanwhile, Silva suffered a stoppage loss
\nagainst Lopes, whom Volkanovski beat twice. While Volkanovski will
\naccept any fight that the UFC offers, \u201cThe Great\u201d doesn\u2019t want to
\nfight any more undeserving guys when there is a clear No.1
\ncontender.<\/p>\n

Building a Better Resume<\/h2>\n

\u201cWithout sounding cocky, I\u2019m very confident I beat all these guys \u2013
\nSilva, Lerone
\nMurphy<\/a>, Movsar, obviously Lopes\u2026 If we talk about legacy, who
\ndo we want?\u201d Volkanovski said on YouTube<\/a>. \u201cI want the undefeated guy that\u2019s beat
\nall the other contenders, all the top guys. Because beating him is
\ngonna look good on my resume because of already his record and who
\nhe\u2019s beat. But I\u2019m confident he\u2019s gonna keep beating all the other
\nfighters after that. So I know that\u2019s still gonna age well. With
\nthe Silva situation, he is yet to prove himself. He fought a top
\nguy and lost, a guy that I beat twice quite comfortably. And then I
\ngo fight him and I beat him, which I\u2019m quite confident I will do.
\nAnd then he starts losing to your Movsars and Lerone Murphys and
\nall that. People are gonna look back and go, \u2018Why did he fight that
\nguy?\u2019… Again, I\u2019ll fight whoever the UFC says, but how many times
\nam I gonna fight guys that are undeserving when there\u2019s a clear No.
\n1 guy?\u201d
