Sebastian Fundora’s third WBC super welterweight title defense is
\nofficially set.<\/p>\n

Both Fundora (23-1-1) and challenger Keith Thurman successfully
\nmade weight for their title clash. It will be Fundora’s third title
\ndefense. Fundora came in at 153.6 pounds, while Thurman (31-1)
\nweighed 152.6 pounds. While the weights are similar, Fundora will
\nhave an 11-inch reach difference and stands six inches taller.<\/p>\n

Fundora has held the WBC’s super welterweight title for a second
\ntime since March 2024 after he won a split decision over Tim Tszyu.
\nA TKO win over Chordale Booker followed before a rematch against
\nTszyu, who retired after the seventh round of their 12-round title
\nfight. His only defeat came in 2023 to Brian Mendoza, who knocked
\nhim out and ended his first reign.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Thurman is 2-0 since losing a split decision to Manny
\nPacquiao in 2019. Largely inactive, Thurman returned in 2022 for a
\nfight against Mario Barrios and then knocked out Brock Jarvis last
\nyear. Thurman previously held the WBC welterweight title and the
\nWBA super welterweight belt.<\/p>\n

Fundora vs. Thurman will headline a Prime Video pay-per-view card
\non Saturday that begins at 8 p.m. ET\/5 p.m. PT. Prelims start at
\n5:30 p.m. ET\/2:30 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n
