Quillan
\nSalkilld<\/a> has set timeline for himself to fight for a
\nUFC<\/a> title. <\/p>\n

Salkilld made his UFC debut in 2024 and has fast-tracked his way
\ntowards the top. Salkilld has finished three of his four UFC
\noutings, knocking out the likes of Nasrat
\nHaqparast<\/a> and Jamie
\nMullarkey<\/a> in his last two outings. However, the consistent
\nupgrade in Salkilld\u2019s circumstances has also come by luck. Salkilld
\ngot the opportunity to fight Mullarkey after the latter\u2019s original
\nopponent, Jimmy
\nCrute<\/a>, pulled out. And luck has struck once again for Salkilld
\nin his upcoming bout. The Australian is scheduled to face his
\nsteepest step up in competition in Beneil
\nDariush<\/a> at UFC Perth<\/a>
\non May 2. Salkilld once again got a short-notice opportunity after
\nDariush\u2019s original opponent, Manuel
\nTorres<\/a>, pulled out.<\/p>\n

‘Speed Running This S–t’<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019m speed running this s\u2014t,\u201d Salkilld told Australian MMA<\/a>. \u201cI didn\u2019t expect it to go this
\nquick, but we could be ranked real real soon. I literally winging
\nit my way to the top\u2026 Each fight has been, \u2018Oh, this guy pulled
\nout, can you jump in?\u2019… I\u2019m just speed running this s\u2014t due to
\nother people\u2019s misfortunes.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the rate Salkilld\u2019s opponents are upgrading, the Australian
\nbelieves he could get a title shot by the end of 2027 or early
\n2028.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe towards the end of next year\u2026 Realistically, towards the end
\nof next year, or early 2028,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Salkilld (11-1) is undefeated in 11 straight outings since his lone
\nprofessional loss in his debut in 2021. Meanwhile, Dariush (23-7)
\nhas been a perennial lightweight contender, consistently fighting
\ntop-tier opponents. While Dariush is 1-3 in his last four, his
\nlosses came against Charles
\nOliveira<\/a>, Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a>, and most recently, Benoit St.
\nDenis<\/a>. <\/p>\n
