Colby
\nCovington<\/a> didn\u2019t mince his words about his recent falling out
\nwith the
\nUFC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Covington has always projected himself as a staunch supporter of
\nPresident Donald Trump. However, despite having tried for over a
\nyear, Covington failed to land a spot on the UFC White House card,
\nwhich takes place on Trump\u2019s birthday, June 14. Covington is now
\nscheduled to wrestle Dillon
\nDanis<\/a> at RAF 7 on Saturday. <\/p>\n

Covington admits that his relationship with the UFC has been
\nstrained over the past few months. Covington accuses executive
\nHunter Campbell of stringing him along after making hollow
\npromises. Covington says that he will now go about his business,
\nreminding the UFC that he is an independent contractor and not an
\nemployee.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the last couple of months, they just kind of went sour,
\nprobably like the last six months,\u201d Covington told Helen Yee<\/a>. \u201cThey were making some
\npromises, and they weren\u2019t fulfilling the promises. [Hunter
\nCampbell] was kind of stringing me along. He was saying that we\u2019re
\ngonna have fights and we\u2019re gonna do this and that, and I didn\u2019t
\nget a call back. I just don\u2019t like how I\u2019ve been ghosted. And it\u2019s
\nokay, that\u2019s the way you\u2019re going with your business, it\u2019s your
\nbusiness. But I\u2019m gonna go on with my business. I\u2019m gonna live my
\nlife, I don\u2019t wanna tell them what I can and cannot do. I\u2019m an
\nindependent contractor, so treat me like an independent contractor,
\ndon\u2019t treat me like an employee.\u201d <\/p>\n

I Want to Put Food on the Table<\/h2>\n

While Covington hasn\u2019t fought in the UFC since December 2024,
\n\u201cChaos\u201d has been active in wrestling under the RAF banner.
\nCovington believes his participation in RAF is partly responsible
\nfor the falling out with the UFC. While Covington wants to compete
\nin wrestling against fellow UFC fighters, the UFC is allegedly
\nstopping its active fighters from competing against each other in
\nwrestling.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to wrestle all these guys \u2013 Khamzat, Arman, Usman. I want
\nto wrestle all these guys that are active, that are high-level
\nathletes like myself,\u201d Covington said. \u201cBut they are not letting
\nme. So it\u2019s not fair. I want to earn money and put food on the
\ntable.\u201d<\/p>\n
