\nCovington<\/a> doesn\u2019t think Sean
\nStrickland<\/a>\u2019s wrestling defense will work against Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Strickland is scheduled to challenge Chimaev for the middleweight
\ntitle in the main event at UFC 328<\/a>
\non May 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Strickland
\njumped ahead of Nassourdine
\nImavov<\/a> for the title shot with a stoppage win over Anthony
\nHernandez<\/a> at UFC Houston last month. A massive underdog going
\ninto the fight, Strickland completely shut down Hernandez\u2019s
\ngruelling wrestling. <\/p>\n

The performance against Hernandez made many believe that Strickland
\ncan pull off a similar upset against Chimaev. However, Covington
\ndoesn\u2019t think Strickland stands a chance against \u201cBorz.\u201d Covington
\nbelieves Chimaev\u2019s wrestling is on a completely different level
\nthan Hernandez\u2019s. \u201cChaos\u201d predicts that Chimaev will either earn a
\nsubmission win over dominate Strickland on the ground for five
\nrounds.<\/p>\n

Completely Different Levels<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not giving [Strickland] a chance,\u201d Covington told Submission Radio<\/a>. \u201cHernandez and Khamzat are
\ncompletely different levels of grapplers in the way they approach
\ntheir strategy. I think Khamzat\u2019s gonna take him down and submit
\nhim\u2026 [Khamzat\u2019s] not gonna be stupid and strike with Sean and make
\nit a kickboxing fight. He\u2019s just gonna make it straight grappling.
\nI think he\u2019s gonna push Strickland in some really bad positions and
\neither submit him or just hold him out for 25 minutes.\u201d <\/p>\n

Strickland (30-7) and Chimaev (15-0) have been trading barbs about
\nalleged sparring sessions at Xtreme Couture. While Chimaev claims
\nto have submitted Strickland, the latter dismisses it as a
\nsituational grappling spar. According to Covington, MMA media
\nmember The Schmo saw Strickland getting dominated by Chimaev during
\nsparring at Xtreme Couture. <\/p>\n
